Clinical Psychologist

I offer individual psychological therapy, specialist psychological assessments and consultation. I also run workshops on wellbeing and mental health for parents.

Hello! I’m Dr Lucy, a senior clinical psychologist with over 10 years experience of working with people experiencing difficulties with their psychological wellbeing. As a HCPC registered clinical psychologist I am able to offer individual therapy as well as specialist assessments, family sessions and group workshops. I work all across West Yorkshire (including Leeds, Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale).

As a clinical psychologist, my goal is to help people lead rewarding and fulfilling lives. I believe it is important for individuals to understand and make sense of their life experiences. Through compassionate and evidence-based approaches, I strive to provide a safe and supportive environment for my clients, empowering them to navigate the challenges they face and discover a fulfilling future. I use a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT);

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT);

  • Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT);

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR);

  • Systemic Therapy;

  • Narrative Therapy.

Over the past 10 years working within the NHS I have worked with children and adults experiencing a variety of difficulties including:

  • Depression

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Panic Attacks

  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

  • Phobias

  • Health Anxiety

  • Loss of confidence/ low self-esteem

  • Neurodevelopmental disorders (Autism & ADHD)

  • Relationship Difficulties

  • Workplace Difficulties

  • Behavioural Difficulties

  • School Refusal

I have additional training in neurodevelopmental disorders, children's mental health, family therapy, trauma, perinatal mental health, and attachment difficulties.

Building a safe and trusting relationship with a therapist is the most important factor in therapy success, I therefore offer a free 15-minute conversation to allow you to get to know me and decide if I am the right person for you to work with.
